Data Privacy Policy for our Augmented Reality Applications
This Data Privacy Policy regulates the use of our augmented reality software for mobile terminals. This Policy complements our Data Privacy Policy for our online presence, which can be retrieved from https://www.agro-holding.eu/impressum-datenschutz-app/?lang=en.

 

What data do we collect?
The “AGRO” application is created with the Unity Game Engine and the Vuforia AR platform. The automatic collection of unique device identifiers and hardware statistics by the Unity Game Engine has been deactivated. You can view the Unity Data Privacy Policy here: https://unity3d.com/legal/privacy-policy. The Vuforia AR platform can collect the following information (collectively “statistics”):

 

1. Information about the devices of the end users, such as e.g.:

  • make, model and firmware version of the user’s device
  • name of the operating system and version number of the user’s device
  • camera profile version

 

2. Information about the software with which the developer application was created, such as e.g.:

  • Vuforia API version
  • Vuforia licence key for mobile and digital licences for glasses
  • Cloud Recognition Client key for applications that use Cloud Recognition (this function is not used by the “AGRO” application)

 

3. Information about the developer application and its use, such as e.g.:

  • application bundle ID
  • application version for tracking application upgrades
  • App Store ID of the application recorded for Google Play Store
  • time stamp of the first application session, i.e. the time at which an application was started on a device for the first time after installation.
  • camera start and stop times. This is only recorded if the Vuforia app process is running.
  • Vuforia application start / stop / restart of time stamps
  • event identification time stamp
  • The configuration of the protocol file defines the frequency and file size of the protocol file to be transmitted to the PTC.
  • tracker status identified / tracking / lost time stamps
  • target created / deleted time stamp
  • virtual button created / destroyed time stamp
  • virtual button pressed / released time stamp

 

4. The IP address that is used by the end user’s device in order to identify the country / region in which the device is used (but not the exact location).

 

5. Images that were submitted with Cloud Recognition queries in order to match the image for a recognition event

 

PTC LLC does not collect any additional unique identifiers or personal data using our augmented reality applications. You can view the Vuforia legal document concerning their statistics policy here: https://developer.vuforia.com/legal/statistics

 

How are the collected data used?
Our augmented reality applications are created with the Unity Game Engine and the Vuforia AR platform. Data collection by the Unity Game Engine has been deactivated. The Vuforia AR platform (PTC Inc.) uses the statistics as follows. PTC and/or its affiliated companies and service providers can collect and use statistics:

  • in order to provide the software and services,
  • for improvement and optimisation of the software and services for various hardware and software requirements on different terminals (generally referred to as device fragmentation),
  • in order to facilitate the provision of new products, updates, technologies and other services,
  • in order to improve the software, the services and other products, services and technologies of PTC or its affiliated companies, and for any business purpose, if they have been de-identified and/or anonymised.

 

How do we disclose the collected data?
Our augmented reality applications are created with the Unity Game Engine and the Vuforia AR platform. Data collection by the Unity Game Engine has been deactivated. Vuforia uses the collected statistics for business purposes, if they have been de-identified and/or anonymised.

 

How are the collected data stored?
Our augmented reality applications are created with the Unity Game Engine and the Vuforia AR platform. Data collection by the Unity Game Engine has been deactivated. PTC Inc. is responsible for storage of the data collected by the Vuforia AR platform.

 

How to unsubscribe
You can stop the collection of information by our augmented reality applications by uninstalling our augmented reality application. You can use the standard uninstaller processes that are available as part of your mobile device.

 

Compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Our augmented reality applications are created with the Unity Game Engine and the Vuforia AR platform. Data collection by the Unity Game Engine has been deactivated. You can view the Unity Data Privacy Policy here: https://unity3d.com/legal/privacy-policy. The Vuforia AR platform (PTC Inc.) collects statistics as set out in the section “What data do we collect?” of this Data Privacy Policy. The collection of statistics by the Vuforia AR platform includes the IP address of the user’s device. Further personal data are not collected by the Vuforia AR platform (PTC Inc.).

The persistent identifier is collected in order to be able to determine the country / region of use (but not the user’s exact location). The collected statistics are used by the Vuforia AR platform (PTC Inc.) as follows:

  • in order to provide the software and services,
  • for improvement and optimisation of the software and services for various hardware and software requirements on different terminals (generally referred to as device fragmentation),
  • in order to facilitate the provision of new products, updates, technologies and other services,

How do our augmented reality applications function?
Our augmented reality applications use augmented reality technology to detect the position of printable component markers. This process is run on the device and does not transmit any images to a cloud-based services. The position of these markers is used to determine the position of the augmented reality object/film or other AR objects on the device screen.

 

What information do our augmented reality applications collect?
A detailed listing of all the information collected can be found in the above Data Privacy Policy of the app. The information collected includes the IP address of the device. The IP address is used internally by Vuforia (PTC Inc.) to determine the country / region.

 

Do our augmented reality applications use in-app purchasing?
No, our augmented reality applications do not include any form of in-app purchasing.

 

Do we have social media links in our augmented reality applications?
No, our augmented reality applications do not include any form of social media links or other social media integration.

 

Does our app include advertising?
Our augmented reality applications do not contain any banner ads or targeted advertising.
